Aurora, CO
Yesterday went as planned - checked out of the hotel and spent time with family. I got to relax on the couch pretty much all day. Herold snuggled with me the entire time. It is nice and also odd at the same time to be in one place for longer that 24 hours. Nice to relax, but there is definitely some anxiety with knowing I am going to need to get going in the next couple days. Stopping also reminded me, once again, that my emotions are still waiting to be processed. Like the Jeopardy song is playing while they just sit there and wait...
A few thoughts, probably more for me re-read later, I haven't put makeup on the whole time I have been on the road. I tried to yesterday and ended up just taking it off. The plows in Colorado need a lesson on how to plow. I witnessed one car crash into a wall and saw the aftermath of another accident after that. I do not care about what I look like and am just going with the flow - this could be good or bad, not sure yet. I had a headache for a day and a half (finally gone as of right now and hoping it doesn't come back). I have collected a Starbucks mug in Niagara Falls, Ohio and Denver. I didn't stop at a Starbucks in Indiana, Wisconsin or Minnesota and the mugs are not made for the state of South Dakota. Next time I drive long distance, I am getting a CB radio so I can talk to the truck drivers - more for my entertainment. My radio name will me "Dream Weaver". Hopefully it isn't taken. Not sure how you find that out.
Today will be probably the same as yesterday with just hanging out. I should be seeing more family tomorrow and then going to Garden of the Gods on Sunday. I tried to go to a yoga class today and after an unfortunate series of events, it didn't work out. But I did see an owl driving back, which is neat and symbolic especially since I have never seen an owl outside of a zoo. An owl represents wisdom, intuition and keen observation to see things that others do not see. Owls can also represent change and life transformations. Tell me that is not divine.
I was debating on whether I was going to stick to my original plan and go through Utah and northern Arizona to see the canyons or go through New Mexico. I slept on it and decided to stick to the original plan. I really connect when I am outside and when I am in nature, so it is important to me to go to and see these place. I plan on being in Sedona this upcoming Wednesday and then Gilbert Wednesday evening. I am anticipating being a hot mess and disheveled when I arrive. That God that my sister will be there to scoop me up when I get there.
I only took one picture yesterday and found some quotes that I resonated with...
